Good one fred, like the light play here.It's the darkest at the lower left and brightest at the upper right.Seems to cut the photo diagonally with low light and high light.
Thanks Sen. The light's coming from the upper right, but it's brightest at the lower right. I was interested to try to capture people escaping the bright heat of the sun, having once seen a couple of beautiful paintings of Tunis or Algiers in the Metropolitan Museum. The challenge is that with such sharp contrasts, the camera can struggle to see into the shadows.
I'm enjoying your thoughtful, subjective film reviews, by the way.
